German basketball player suffered a loss in the NBA.

German basketball players had a bad night in the NBA. The Toronto Raptors led by German men's basketball captain Dennis Schroeder were defeated by the Miami Heat 103-112, while the Orlando Magic led by Franz Vogel and Moritz Vogel were defeated by the Cleveland Cavaliers 111-121.

Franz Vogel scored 14 points and Moritz Vogel scored 11 points in the Magic's two-game losing streak. Even with Paolo Banchero's 42 points, Orlando lost its seventh game of the season. Prior to the first two losses, Vogel and his teammates had won a team-record nine straight games.

Schroder also didn't have his best game in the Raptors' 12th loss of the season (nine wins), finishing with nine points, five assists and five rebounds. The Raptors lost their offensive rhythm in the second quarter, leading to the eventual loss.

The Dallas Mavericks beat the Utah Jazz 147-97 to get back on track after losing their first two games. Superstar Luka Doncic scored 40 points. German international Maximilian Kleber, who has a foot injury, did not play.
