Former NBA center Kendrick Perkins graded Wimby's game after the first four games of the season and surprised fans with his low rebounding rating.

Perkins has high hopes for the French phenom and sees him as the favorite for Rookie of the Year this season. He claims he has gained game experience in the LNB (France's top basketball league), which should give him an edge over other rookies.

"I have to give him an F," said Purke." You're a big guy at 7-foot-4, six rebounds should be yours. You can't leave the court without double-digit rebounds.

"I understand he's not a center and you don't want to play the center position. But he's 7-foot-4 and very athletic,....... I don't think I'm being too harsh."

Win Banyama has grabbed at least 12 rebounds in just one game since the start of the season. In the other three games, he's had less than double-digit rebounds.

In addition to Wimby's rebounding, the two-time champion also graded the center's offensive and defensive abilities.

On offense, "Perk" gave the big man a "B" grade, indicating that he would like to see the rookie become more confident. The former Boston Celtics center said he would like to see the Spurs center attempt more shots.

When it comes to defense, Perkins has no complaints. So far, he has been impressed with the rookie. So far, he's averaging 2.3 caps per game, his calling card since the start of the 2023-24 season.

In last night's game against the Phoenix Suns, he had a great game with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 caps.

Wimby helped his team rally from a 20-point deficit at the break.

Victor Wimbanyama cites Kevin Durant as one of his inspirations

Victor Wimbanyama and Kevin Durant put on a great show for the fans last night. The two stars played an incredible style of basketball that became the talk of the town. Durant finished the game with 26 points, 7 assists and 2 rebounds.

After the game, Wimby talked about Durant and how Durant inspired him.

"I realize I'm nowhere near as proficient at the game as he is because I try to do things like he does, but I think I might not be patient enough," Wimpy said." I think I tried to go too fast, but he went at his own pace and got in his place. I think I have to do that, not copy it, but take inspiration from it.

"He's special, you know? He's a problem. His teammates are looking for him and making him a problem with the way they organize the game. He's one of the toughest players in the league to defend. I haven't seen him in full, or any other player in the league, but I think he's the best."

Although the outcome was not in the team's favor, Durant went down in NBA history as the 12th player in league history to score 27,000 points.
